Who We Are
In 2014, Ramona was presented with a huge opportunity by her then employers - Sonya and Peter Parris (owners of Grinders Corporate Catering) - to begin her own business. Grabbing the chance by the reigns, 'Events by Ramona' was created. Now, boasting over 20 years in the events industry, Ramona has pathed her way to success and is now one of the most sought-out decorators in the Mackay, Issac, and Whitsundays regions.
In 2020, 'Events by Ramona' went through a stunning rebrand and is now known by all as 'Element Events by Ramona'.

The Team

Ramona Burki
Creative Director
Ramona is the name and face of the company. She is driven by the creative process and is continually searching for the latest 'on trend' ideas that the event world has to offer.
Ramona loves the blank canvas of a new event, and the ideas and challenges set upon her by loyal clients.

Marie Burki
Creative Assistant
Marie is the glue that holds the events team together. She handles all things logistic and client relations. Marie was present for the business start-up in 2015 but moved to a more permanent role in 2017.
From responding to emails to creating beautiful proposals and everything else that is detail-oriented, she keeps the business running like a well-oiled machine.
